Kenya Productivity Report
Industry Edge Limited is a social enterprise working with Kenyan industry and other partners to promote productivity as a means of attaining competitiveness of the Kenyan productive sector.
Kenya productivity report
In collaboration with government agencies, private sector, industry associations, labour organisations and media enterprises, Industry Edge will publish and disseminate an annual Kenya Productivity Report.
The overarching goal of the productivity reporting and promotion project is to ensure that there is a continuously and consistently available “Kenya Productivity Report” that is relatable and easily digestible by investors, planners, consultants, academia, and private sector companies and the general public.
On the back of the Report, Industry Edge and its partners will champion a national productivity campaign and a national conversation around productivity improvement, with the ultimate aim of achieving competitiveness of Kenyan industry.

Sector Competitiveness Project
The initiative is grounded on the fact that significant numbers of Kenyan products are not competitive – in terms of price, quality, timely availability and consistency – compared to imports.
Sector competitiveness project
The initiative is grounded on the fact that significant numbers of Kenyan products are not competitive – in terms of price, quality, timely availability and consistency – compared to imports. Such products do not meet certification standards and cannot therefore be exported or bought by big local buyers such as supermarkets.
This is a chronic malaise affecting many sectors and applies to even very basic products, where raw materials are locally available. This situation may be creating the impression in the minds of entrepreneurs that there are insurmountable barriers to making competitive products in Kenya. While this may be the case for some products, there are many sectors with a very wide array of products that can be competitively produced in Kenya and be in a position to compete with imports from anywhere in the world.
The approach is to create an ecosystem for sustainable competitiveness by specific industry sectors.

Enterprise Productivity Improvement
Enterprise Productivity Improvement
To maximize social and economic impacts, Industry Edge will not only champion a productivity culture, but will also support Kenyan enterprises design and implement measures geared towards improving productivity and competitiveness.
Industry Edge’s approach is to support management teams come up with solutions – which they will therefore own – for the productivity improvements to be entrenched and sustainable.
